In this newsletter I share how I nurture and tend myself as a caregiver, so that, apart from the frustration, exhaustion and powerlessness I sometimes feel, I also experience joy, beauty and sacredness in the giving of care.

I hope it inspires and supports you to find ways to hold and tend yourself in the midst of difficult moments. I also hope it permissions you to explore possibilities for ease, peace and transcendance within the daily acts of caregiving.

One in four people in Canada are caregivers of family and there is a shortage of spaces for people who need assisted living and full-time caregiving. In BC alone there are over 15,000 people living with Parkinson’s and the numbers are supposed to go higher. Around the world there are more and more of us who are doing the best we can as we navigate the terrors and tenderness of caregiving.
